Work, Life Lessons, Integrity & Gratitude

The past 60 hrs have been more tumultuous than a fight day and I’ve learn some important life lessons in the process. I talk to many of my clients about stress management, prioritizing, goal setting and general life coaching stuff but this week I found myself in the role of client, with life (and some loved ones) as my instructors.

I don’t want to bore you with details, but let’s just say ever so eloquently, “stuff got messy” and major things planned did not go as planned… But I stood up myself, pulled through and landed back on my feet where I started. I’m pretty good at adapting to changes. As a daughter of a single mom who moved more times than I can count, I’m a survivor.

As always drastic events in life teach us lessons and this week was no exception; I’ve learned a lot. I found these quotes that sum up some of my thoughts/feelings and I want to share them with you in hopes that you too can learn from, or at least relate to my experiences:

I love my work so much sometimes I want to pinch myself to make sure my life is real. I’m feeling pretty grateful (although I’m totally exhausted) tonight.  I’m feeling grateful for my amazing clients/students that make it possible for me to do what I love everyday. I feel grateful for my instructors that help me teach and I am so grateful to have amazing loved ones close to me that always have my back no matter how much it inconveniences them.

So tomorrow, after a good night’s rest I’m gonna tackle life full-force as I always do with strength, passion, dedication and integrity (that’s a new one I just added to my motto)… cause that’s just how I roll.
